The subject of worship is quite interesting. One interesting question I find is; why do we need to worship God? Is it for our benefit or His benefit? If we do not worship do we lose anything? Does God lose anything? Is worshipping God a must?
Revelation 4:11 Worthy are You, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honour and power, for You created all things, and by Your will they existed and were created”.
It is very good that we remind each other of the reason we worship. Revelation 4:11 above shows us why. We worship the Lord for He is worthy. We do not worship God because we have found that there is some benefit in it. We do not worship God because He commands us to. If anything, we are just exalted to worship.
But worship is a response to God’s greatness. If God was not God we would not have worshipped Him. Always remember and set before you, the goodness, the love, and mercy of God as the reason behind your worship, nothing else!
