Gospel artist Simplice Bless will lead a Panim El Panim (Hebrew for Face-to-Face Communication with God) worship session on Wednesday, October 15, to mark Mothers Day celebrations in Lilongwe. The event will take place at K99 Mangochi Building, next to the Town Mosque.
Speaking in an interview, Simplice Bless, who is also the main organiser and minister of the show, said preparations for the event are at an advanced stage.“Everything is set for the Panim El Panim Worship Session. By Friday, only equipment setup and sound checks will remain,” he said.
Bless highlighted that the worship session aims to inspire faith and hope, especially as many people face challenges that affect their daily lives.
“People may struggle even with basic needs, but hope can still shine. Some may have money but lack hope, while others with little still hold on. This event is about encouraging people to believe, strive, and keep moving forward despite their circumstances,” he explained.
He noted that holding the worship session on Mothers Day was deliberate, as it allows mothers and families to glorify God for His sustaining presence in their homes.
Andrew Mkwezalamba, a resident of Area 22 and fan of Simplice Bless, expressed his excitement for the event.
“I expect a powerful celebration of love and faith, honoring our mothers through heartfelt worship and uplifting music. It will be a beautiful blend of gratitude, praise, and unity,” he said.
The Panim El Panim Worship Session is open and free to the public and will feature ministers including Tracy Shabbach, Gabe Simenti, Florence Hiwa, and Chisomo Chimoto alongside Simplice Bless.
