Chileka based reggae band, Black Missionaries, will on 26 July 2025 storm Garden Lounge in Lilongwe under the theme ‘Grand Opening’ aimed at providing an opportunity for networking and community engagement.
Other artist to sanctify the event include, Namadingo, Annie Matumbi, Lulu, Driemo, Fada Moti, Kelly Kay, Moda Fumulani, Anthony Makondesa, and Pricilla Kayira.
In an interview with Malawi News Agency on Tuesday, one of the organizers, Thomasi Madulira, said, through the event, they want to create buzz and excitement around the new business, product services and create a memorable experience for attendees to foster brand loyalty.
“People should expect an exciting experience with live performances and interactive activities. This grand opening promises to be an unforgettable experience, packed with thrilling entertainment since the attendees will be wowed by live energetic performances,” said Madulira.
He added that the event will provide a platform for promotion to the up and coming artists, specifically those that are emerging in the music industry.
Ma blacks Band leader Anjilu Fumulani, urged entertainment lovers to come in large numbers, saying that anyone looking for remarkable music by Ma Blacks must attend the show to complete the month with new music concert experience.
“The band is well prepared to entertain people, as well as to provide career talk to up-coming artists on how they can sharpen up their music careers. We are considering the event as part of thanksgiving to our fans,” said Anjilu.
Ma Black’s top fan, Chimwemwe Supuni, commented on Ma black’s social media page saying, although he is far from Lilongwe, he will follow the Missionaries since they deliver a powerful message.
“I am expecting a lot of energy from this band and other artists, as the show involves a collaboration of well-known artists who give brilliant performances and nice music,” said Supuni.
During the grand opening event, DJ Maaz and DJ Nathan Tunes promise to take the stage, spinning hot tracks and infectious tunes that will get everyone dancing and creating an electric vibe which will keep patrons entertained on their feet all night long.
