The concept of loneliness, basically being alone has had received much attention especially in our modern times. The recent Covid 19 pandemic lockdowns period brought the subject into more prominence and focus. During that period which now perhaps seems a century ago yet it was four / five years ago we had to endure it, people were confined to their household which meant those living alone had no any other human contact. Its positive and negative sides are now well documented and it is an area of on-going research as to its long term impact.

Loneliness can be as a result of circumstances and or natural conditions. Yet in some people it might be self induced and by design. Some people like the privilege that being alone continuously brings and can not in any way dream of a life with more human contact. However, human beings by their creation are social beings which means interaction with other beings is part and parcel of their livelihood.

On another spectrum, loneliness has varied different degrees depending on interpretation and perspectives. To some loneliness in adulthood might mean the absence of a relationship with a spouse, loved opposite sex person, though they might have more contact with other beings through work, community or social gatherings in general. Yet to others it means literally being locked away from other human beings. No matter what the situation, happiness is made when one realises that there is only one truth as the creator intended it to always be. Be happy in this truth!
