By Mirriam Bwanali

The late Victor Mwangobola, popularly known as Tremour, song ‘Ndekha’ has been released on August 1 2025 after two years since his death.

Late Tremour’s brother, Standie Mwangobola told Malawi News Agency (MANA) on Friday that ‘Ndekha’ is a love song that the late Tremour sang before his death and it talks more about being in love.

“Since he left the project at the studio hoping that one day he would release it, we thought that it is very important to do that for him. We also cannot just waste the songs by listening to them ourselves.  We want to share them with his fans,” he said.

Mwangobola further said to keep late Tremour’s legacy on, they are going to keep on releasing his songs that were not shared with the public.

“We still have some projects that he had recorded, like gospel songs and other songs that we are planning on featuring them with some big artists,” he added.

Music promoter, Joy Nathu, said that posthumous music releases celebrate a late artist’s legacy, offering fans emotional connection.

“Music helps renew cultural relevance for an artist by repositioning them in the present and also helps ensure their creative voice continues to grow, even after their passing,” he said.

One of late Tremour’s fan, Sheritah Chikhau, said listening to Ndekha song really feels like he is still alive.

“I am overwhelmed with emotions listening to Ndekha song: It really brings back so many memories, making me feel like he is still with us,” she said.

Late Tremour died a few days after sustaining head injuries in a motorcycle accident on his way to the studio for recording session in July 2023.
