Dedza District Hospital has applauded The Order of the Daughters of the King (DOK), Lilongwe South Archdeaconry under the Anglican 
Diocese of Lake Malawi, for visiting the paediatric palliative ward on June 25, 2026, with prayers, evangelism, and donations for sick children.

Similarly, Boston John Ngwemba, Dedza parish warden, also commended the women, highlighting the current economic challenges .
In an interview, Lilongwe South Archdeaconry Chairperson Mayamiko Jimu said, The outreach was part of DOK’s three-fold mandate of prayer, service, and evangelism.
She said the visit aimed to minister both physically and spiritually.
Jimu stated that the group came to evangelize and share assorted basic items with the children to remind them that God is with them in their pain.
Robert Mwafulirwa, a nurse and midwife at the facility, praised the gesture as timely, noting that many patients struggle to afford necessities during treatment. He urged other stakeholders to emulate DOK to help bridge gaps in patient care.
Boston John Ngwemba also commended the women, saying the visit was essential given the current economic challenges.
Donated items included maize flour, relish, salt, and soft drinks.
The Daughters of the King, a women’s ministry in the Anglican Church, Diocese of Lake Malawi, remain committed to intercessory prayer and works of mercy in communities.
