Back to Madrassah Campaign is a three-year project initiated to empower Muslim women to go back to Madrassah to gain more knowledge on their religion.

Speaking during the award ceremony on Monday, Director for IRCS, Osman Mwale, said the initiative serves as an appreciation for their effort invested during Madrassah sessions as well as supporting them with basic needs that will help them spiritually and economically.

“We have awarded them with items such as Qur’an, plastic buckets, laundry soap, exercise books and pens. We believe the gifts will help them cater for some of their basic needs,” Mwale said.

He, therefore, urged Madrassah women participants to invite other women to join the go back to Madrassah Campaign for them to grasp more knowledge of their religion’s teachings.

“As we invite other women to join the campaign, let us be exemplary through our dressing and lifestyle to attract our fellow Muslim women,” Mwale added.
