Mastering the Art of Worship

By Mister Collin Chingota

Last week I shared on the art worship (https://leymanck.com/the-art-of-worship/) where I was reflecting on the aspect that worship has an aspect of art apart from it coming from the heart. Today, I would like to build on it, to look at how to perfect the art of worship.

Hebrews 12:11 For the moment all discipline seems painful rather than pleasant, but later it yields the peaceful fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it.

In the field of art, there is what is called the daily discipline of practice. This is a key to producing excellence. The same applies in the art of worship. For the art of worship to be as excellent as God demands, there must be a daily discipline of practice.

The art of giving for example, is not only a gift that others have. It is an art that you can develop and master through practice. Make up your mind to be an excellent giver and practice giving.

As a discipline, this means start giving not because you feel like it, but because you choose. Give to God an amount so big that you don’t feel comfortable with it. The more you do that, the easier it will become, and you become a master of it.
