Confirming the development, one of the organizers, Eliyas Chakuamba, told Malawi News Agency (MANA) that the adjustments have been made to encourage artists to work hard in their various artistic fields knowing that they will be awarded at the end.

The awards ceremony will be held towards the end of the year.

Chakuamba disclosed that they will facilitate publicity and promotion of the winner’s projects.

“We want this year’s awards to be different from the previous ones. We are adding money on top of the trophies that we present to the winners. Upcoming and female artist of the year will be supported to have media tours and a chance to collaborate with big artists,” he said.

One of the previous awardees, hip hop artist, Lil Mish, commended the organizers for the adjustments, saying it will greatly motivate artists.
