Inspirational Quotes for Weekend

By Dr Charles Leyman Kachitsa

A discussion, a very important exchange of views on the colour of the sky above, is always a debatable topic. Some say it is blue, some white, some grey, others would say green. Yet those close to the truth might say it is clear. As the saying goes, ‘as clear as the sky’. This assertion of the sky being clear would mean no colour at all, it could also be that we do not see that which is visible.

But is the sky clear? Again a debatable topic. One drenched by rain would not agree that the sky is clear with nothing in it. And those travelling by air from one point to another will tell you they were amongst those that had momentarily occupied the skies in a vehicle called an aeroplane which used the air and wind to carry it high up the sky on to their destination.

Those who know, know that the sky can elevate you to higher heights to levels up there that you never imagined whatever your desire and or dream is. Perhaps we should dream skywards, it starts by looking up there into the sky for symbolically that’s where we look in asking for divine intervention on all situations.

The quotes this week is a continuation of extraction from a book that the authors say when read in full, it takes you through a journey of establishing belief in yourself and realizing the importance of your being. I am sure the listed quotations from the book listed below will enlighten you to one or two life lessons. Read and enjoy:

SUCCESS THROUGH A POSITIVE MENTAL ATTITUDE by Napoleon Hill and W. Clement Hill

“You are a mind with a body!’ —– Because you are a mind, you possess mystical powers—powers known and unknown. Dare to explore the power of your mind! Why explore them? —– When you make the discoveries that are awaiting you, they can bring you: (1) physical mental and moral health, happiness, and wealth; (2) success in your chosen field of endeavour; and even (3) a means to affect, use, control, and harmonize with powers known and unknown. —- And dare to investigate all non-physical forces lying outside the realm of known physical processes-forces which you can use when you learn how to apply them. And this will not be so difficult for you-no more difficult than turning on a television set for the first time.”

“You know conscious autosuggestion is the agency of control through which an individual may voluntarily feed his subconscious mind on thoughts of a creative nature, or, by neglect, permit thoughts of a destructive nature to find their way into the rich garden of his mind. —- When you read aloud twice daily the written statement of your desire for money with emotion and concentrated attention, and you see and feel yourself already in possession of the money, you communicate the object of your desire directly to your subconscious mind. Through repetition of this procedure, you voluntarily create thought habits, which are favourable to your efforts to transmute desire into its monetary equivalent.”

“Everyone has problems. This is because you and everything in the universe are in a constant process of change. Change is an inexorable natural law. What is important to you is that your success or failure to meet the challenges of change are dependent upon your mental attitude. —– You can direct your thoughts and control your emotions and thus regulate your attitude. You can choose whether your attitude will be positive or negative. You can decide whether you will affect, use, control, or harmonize with the changes in yourself and your environment. You can ordain your destiny……”

“Thomas Edison tried more than ten thousand experiments before he developed he developed a successful incandescent lamp. But after each defeat he kept searching for something more until he found what he was looking for. When the unknown became known to him, innumerable electric light bulbs could be manufactured. It was necessary only to apply the universal laws that had always existed but which had not been previously recognized as applicable for the specific invention. —– There are many cures and preventatives for diseases. But at a given time they may be unknown. The medical preventative for polio was unknown until Dr. Jonas Edward Salk used principles of universal law that were previously not applied by the medical profession for the prevention of this dreaded disease.”
