There is a diminutive difference between learning and education although in most cases the two words are used interchangeably. Learning is more a natural process and almost all living things go through it from the moment they are created or conceived. While education is a more intentional designed process which a clear end result determined as well as the level of attainment.
Life is a continuous learning process each minute that we are alive we are learning from self and from all things around. It’s not known whether learning stops once a living thing and in this case human being die. The only time to find out is when one dies. Taking it from people who have experienced near death and or those who claim having died and come back, it appears they come back with new things they would have learnt in death. It is fair perhaps to say learning is a continuous process through and through until the time of judgement.
In olden days people would be sent out for education with the intention that when they come back they will impact the community that they live in. Education was designed not to benefit only one individual person. Stories are told of when an entire clan or struggling parents would have sent one of their own young ones to be educated with the hope that they will come back to change their families and community. Alas!, those days are gone, nowadays it is more an individual thing to attain education and only better oneself without regard of others including those who would have paid for such. We need to go back to the original intentions of education if we have to have better society!
