You must take notice of your surroundings at all times. The things that surround you are not there by chance, you need to take notice of each one of them including the smaller items. Be conscious of all things around and know why and how they are there, if not find out from those who have knowledge.
People who are aware of the things around them, are always attuned to the possibilities these things might bring both positive and or negative. In that regard their posture will be a ready one to take advantage of the things or to wade off the dangers that they may present. Those who about life without taking notice of their surroundings, have often missed out on the opportunities that are inherent in these things around, at times being hurt by those that they would have been familiar with.
You have to take notice of the words, each word spoken to you that you hear from others. Know that words used may be the same, but in some cases may be twisted to suit the speakers agenda if you don’t take notice. Afterall, when all is said and done, our choices determine the things that surrounds us at any given time which we must take notice of.

The quotes this week are a continuation of extraction from a book that covers topics on that which most people desire to have always in life, happiness. Living a life of joy in knowing that the truth is always there to set us free is precious. I am sure that the few selected quotations listed below from this book will enlighten you to one or two life lessons. Read and enjoy:
THE HAPPINESS SECRET – FINDING TRUE CONTENTMENT by J. John
“……. Whatever your views, you must agree that to be in a situation where there is a major mismatch between your internal wishes and your external actions is a recipe for unhappiness at best and, at worst, full psychological breakdown. Having this lack of integrity is disastrous, which we are reminded of if we note that the negative of ‘integrity’ is related linguistically to the word ‘disintegration'”
“This very fact should give you an utterly unshakable and secure basis for self-examination because you should understand that anything undesirable you see in yourself will not be judged or used as a reason to write you off. Your own acknowledgement of failings can lead to a recognition of God’s enormous love, which extended to dying a horrible and humiliating death on a cross, just so that you could be brought back into that divine family. ……..”
“It’s all too easy to look around us and think that we’re better than other people. This is nothing but a recipe for mediocrity. Set the highest possible standards. Aim for the highest heights and when you fall short you will still have achieved something creditable.”
“Finally, we should cast our net wide by praying for people so as to implement a kind of spiritual mercy. If we believe in the power of prayer then the greatest good we can do for someone is to pray for them – but do we? We should always pray regularly and sincerely for the welfare of others.”
