By Minister Collin Chingota
One day, a brother in Christ was introducing himself to me and he said, ‘Am so and so and I am a worshiper’. Digging deeper, I understood that what he meant was that he ministers through music or leads people in worship through music.

Apparently, the term worshiper has been redefined as a calling or ministerial position in the church. The Bible has no calling called worshiper. So, who exactly is a worshiper?
John 4:23 Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in the Spirit and in truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks
God is seeking worshipers. If God is seeking worshipers, it means anyone can be a worshiper. It is not a calling for a few people. In fact, God desires that we should all worship Him. To worship God means to esteem more highly than anything in heaven or on earth.
Therefore, a worshiper is not necessarily a singer or musician. A worshiper is anyone who truly worships God, whether it’s through music or not.
