Waiting upon the Lord may be a difficult thing to do. You see, there are moments when we pray to God and receive an instant manifestation. But there are moments also when we have to wait. What happens as we wait is also crucial for our answered prayer:
Philippians 4:6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.
As we wait on God, anxiety may creep in. We begin to wonder if God really heard our prayer. We ask ourselves if we prayed wrongly and did not pray long enough. But the Bible says, do not be anxious. But it says on top of your prayer, add thanksgiving.
What we need to do as we wait on the Lord is thanksgiving and praise. When you pray, believe that God has answered your prayer. The rest of the days, spend them on your knees, giving thanks.
Thanksgiving on its own has the power to unlock some doors and even speed up the manifestation. We need to understand that prayer is spiritual, and the waiting time is a spiritual and crucial time as well.
