1 Corinthians 2:12 Now we have received not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might understand the things freely given us by God.

One duty of the Spirit of God in us is to reveal what we have freely received in Christ. Knowing what we have become and what we have received by virtue of our new creation makes a huge difference in our lives.
The bible says, whatsoever we believe that we have received, will be done to us (Mark 11:24). In other words, our consciousness of who we are has a bearing on what we experience in real life. Thus, meditation in God’s word is very important.
Meditate on who you are and what you have received as revealed by the Spirit and His word, that is what is going to become of you!
