One of the definitions of sacrifice is to give up something valuable for the sake of other considerations. When it comes to worship, there is an element of sacrifice that is many times ignored in favour of the safe options.
Philippians 3:8 What is more, I consider everything a loss because of the surpassing greatness of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things. I consider them garbage, that I may gain Christ.
The sacrifice of worship involves giving up the comfort of life for the sake the greatness of fellowshipping with Christ. What have you given up in your walk of worship? To show that God is worthy of your total devotion, just singing and praying may not be enough, sometimes you must prove it by the sacrifices you make.
Sacrifices are not sweet, but they are worthwhile. They show the seriousness of the person taking those taking them. It’s time to electrify our worship by taking real sacrifices for His sake!
