We are living in the days where indeed the love of many has grown cold. People are becoming more selfish than ever before. This spirit has not spared the body of Christ either. Even worship itself has turned into a means of getting something from God or just a means of entertaining ourselves. It is now time to get back to the foundation of our faith: Love.
Matt 22:37 Jesus replied: “’Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’
The greatest commandment is to love God fully. This means we are to completely live for him. Our attention, our energy, indeed our greatest motivation for anything we do, should be our love for God.
I remember many years ago, reading a book by brother Lawrence on practicing the presence of God. The man lived in true intimacy with God, and he made it his ambition in live to live and do everything for the glory of God, absolutely no strings attached. What a life! Make that your ambition as well.
