The Impact of Worship on Your Prayers

By Minister Collin Chingota

If you live a life of worship your prayer life will be affected, positively. The greatest prayer warriors or intercessors who ever lived on earth were also the greatest worshipers.

Think Abraham, Moses, even David, they were people who interceded passionately for others and yet lived an inspiring life of worship. How so?

Matthew 6:9-10 This, then, is how you should pray: ‘Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.

Have you noticed that the prayer that Jesus taught his disciples begins with worship? It was not by accident. Worship places our heart at the right place to communicate with God. A heart of worship desires God’s will to be manifested in everything that concerns Him.

When you worship and put God first, there is no fear that your prayers will not be with a right motive. Worship develops your confidence in God so that you can trust Him for big things!
