True worship is born of the heart. God primarily sees the heart. It is therefore necessary that we pay attention to the state of the heart when it comes to worship:
1 Sam 16:7 For the Lord sees not as man sees: man looks on the outward appearance, but the Lord looks on the heart,”

With the heart we value God for who He is. With the heart we come to understand the worthiness of God. With the heart we come to truly appreciate God for what He has done.
Out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. A heart that has fully embraced the greatness of God will inevitably respond in worship. This is how worship is produced. From inside out.
This is why, we may go through all the actions of worship but if our hearts do not align, our worship is in vail. When all the singing, the giving, the praying is done, God looks at the integrity of the heart.
