Life is a race. It is not a race against our neighbours and friends. It is a race against our own destinies. God has set a lane for us, and we need to identify that lane and run in it. Paul discovered this:
Philippians 3:12 Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already arrived at my goal, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me.
Paul realised that he is a race, but the race was not against his fellow apostles. It was a race to take hold of that which Christ took hold of him. See, our races are different. Because of this, our experiences may be different.
It is easy in life to compare ourselves with others. When we see others progressing, experiencing some kind of success and prosperity, it is easy to see ourselves as failures.
However, we should always seek to mind our own business. God’s time is always perfect. It may seem that He is delaying, but He is always on time. Run your race. Stay in your lane!
