Maseko Ngoni in thanksgiving celebration over Ansah’s vice presidency

Vice President Dr Jane Ansah has saluted President Professor Peter Mutharika for choosing her as running mate in the September 16, 2025 elections.
She made the remarks Sunday at the Malawi Adventist University grounds in Ntcheu during the Maseko Ngoni thanksgiving ceremony over her vice presidency.
“If he did not choose me, this ceremony could not have taken place,” she said.
She commended Inkosi Ya Makosi Gomani V for his commitment in promoting the Maseko Ngoni culture.
In his remarks Inkosi Ya Makosi Gomani V urged the Maseko Ngoni to love one another and to continue promoting their culture.
He thanked President Mutharika for choosing Dr Ansah as his running mate.
“The Maseko Ngoni, and all the people of Ntcheu, are thankful for what President Mutharika did,” he said.
Member of Parliament for Ntcheu North West, Joseph Malingamoyo, praised Mutharika for making the right choice.
Malingamoyo urged all people, regardless of their status or political affiliation, to work together in developing this country.
Earlier, Ansah symbolically gave livestock (piglets) to five Group Village Heads (GVH) and two other individuals.
She, therefore, advised beneficiaries to take good care of the piglets saying it is a source of income as well as food.
A total of twenty eight GVH’s are expected to get the piglets across Senior Chief Njolomole’s area.
