Lilongwe book author inspires a movement in purposeful leadership

By Kenneth Zindondo,
Lilongwe based writer, Sharon Lashaunze Chirwa has authored her second book, currently on the market, titled; She’s the steer, a woman of power, influence, and impact.
The publication calls readers, particularly those that feel unseen to step forward with boldness and become transformative leaders in their spheres of influence.
In an interview, Chirwa said the book is not just about holding positions but about directing lives toward meaning.
“If one is a leader, whether of a small or large group, they have to drive others in the right direction toward making their lives meaningful,” she said, adding that the wisdom in the book extends to everyone, regardless of gender or social background and current status.
“I am targeting every individual and not just women. This book brings insights on how one can lead with purpose and be able to make someone become somebody,” she added.
Her inspiration stems from observing how often people, especially women struggle with invisibility and low esteem.
“We have a lot of people, especially women, who feel unseen and look down on themselves but one has to be courageous and bold enough to lead in whatever one does,” she said.
“She is the Steer” is Chirwa’s second book, following her first publication titled “Becoming a Wise and Noble Woman”, which offers insights into overcoming life’s challenges while embracing one’s true identity.
A Blantyre based book reader, Vitumbiko Gondwe praised the book’s relevance, saying, “This book isn’t just ink on paper, it is fuel for a journey of every leader who still doubt own light. Sharon is ushering in a leadership shift and has handed us the keys, and it is our turn to drive.”
Both works were published by Malawi Assemblies of God Press and are available in local bookstores and also directly from the author.
