A heart that is truly devoted to God has Jesus at the centre. When Jesus is at the centre nothing can fall, and everything stands. That is what we need:
Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.
The scripture above puts it very well. To have Jesus at the centre of your heart is to trust him completely. To lean not on your own understanding but in all your ways acknowledging him. It sounds easier to say than doing it. Many times, we rely on our own wisdom to solve our problems, and we rely on our possessions as a source of joy and happiness. But with time we realize that all those cannot take the place of the Lord.
Only the Lord can make our paths straight. He is our source; we are nothing without Him. It is high time we place Him at the right place, at the centre of our hearts, and we shall know what true joy looks like!
