The African Telecommunications Union (ATU) met with a Malawian delegation led by Principal Secretary for E-Government Prosper Mopiwa and Malawi Communications Regulatory Authority (MACRA) Director General Mphatso Phiri at the World Telecommunication Development Conference (WTDC-25).
The discussions focused on strengthening Malawis participation in continental ICT processes, empowering technical teams, and promoting womens representation in international forums.
The Malawian delegation commended ATUs role in convening member states and reaffirmed the countrys commitment to contributing to Africas unified voice in global ICT policy spaces.
The collaboration aims to drive digital growth and development in Malawi, with ATU providing support and resources to help the country achieve its ICT objectives.
The meeting highlighted the importance of partnerships in shaping the future of Africas digital landscape.
