A Praise of Faith

It has been well documents that there is power in praising God. Victories have been gained through the weapon of praise. But not all praises lead to victory. There is a praise that leads to victory:

2 Chronicles 20:21a After consulting the people, Jehoshaphat appointed men to sing to the Lord and to praise him for the splendour of his holiness as they went out at the head of the army

We know the story of Jehoshaphat and the people of Israel, where God fought their battle on their behalf. I would like to bring to your attention the fact that this was not an ordinary praise session.

There was something special about it. What made it special was the fact that it was a praise of faith!

What this means is that, the people praised God despite the coming army. They rejoiced over God’s faithfulness far before it was manifested. That is the kind of praise that leads to victory.

When you praise God for healing even when there is pain in your body; when you praise His provision even when the bank account is empty, that is when God shows up!
