By Patience Longwe
President Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika and the First Lady have extended warmest Mother’s Day blessings to all mothers, guardians and caretakers across the nation.
In a Mother’s Day message issued on Thursday, the President said motherhood is and will always remain a sacred blessing, a journey guided by the Lord’s grace.
President Mutharika hailed mothers for their tireless devotion, early mornings, late nights, quiet sacrifices and unceasing prayers for their families, describing their love as truly matchless and paramount.
He said his administration remains firmly committed to empowering women and safeguarding the health, dignity and economic prosperity of every mother in the country.
“Through targeted national investments in maternal health services, economic empowerment initiatives and expanded educational opportunities for girls, we are striving to remove systemic barriers and build a Malawi where every woman can thrive,” Mutharika said.
The President said resilience, selflessness and dedication of women continue to shape the heart and future of the nation.
