FCB donates computers to Salima District Council

First Capital Bank (FCB) on Wednesday donated four computers worth K6 million to Salima District Council.

Speaking after receiving the donation, Salima District Council Director of Planning and Development, Eric Kenamu, expressed gratitude for FCB’s gesture.

He expressed concern that operations in the council’s finance department have not been easy due to inadequate resources including computers.

According to Kenamu, at least 20 officers in the department relied on one computer to carry out operations but this addition will ease their work.

“We are grateful for the donation as it will ease operations in the data centre.

We approached different banks and organisations for help but FCB is the first to respond,” Kenamu said.

FCB Head of Marketing and Communication, Twikale Chirwa, said the donation is part of their corporate social responsibility to promote smooth operations at the council.
