After a successful launch in 2024, Mzinda Lifestyle plans to do their model elimination fashion show on March 29, 2025 at Kigali Events Center in Lilongwe as part of preparations for their final 2025 Mzinda Fashion Show scheduled to take place on June 1.
The competition will bring together 25 models on the stage.
In an interview with Malawi News Agency (Mana) on Tuesday, Mzinda Lifestyle Event Manager, Chris Kunda Daka explained that the fashion shows have potential to promote Malawis tourism sector and fashion industry.
“Since it started in 2024, Mzinda lifestyle has become one of the towers in the tourism and fashion sectors in Malawi,
“In the last years event, international fashion designers and models from 11 different countries came to Malawi. This is a major contribution to the tourism industry in Malawi,” Daka added.
In a separate interview, a judge in Miss Malawi, beauty pageant, Godfrey Kambewa, who will be one of the judges in the fashion event, said he is looking forward to the elimination fashion show in Lilongwe.
“It is an honour to be part of the growth journey and seeing the event becoming better with each version. Mzinda Lifestyle is a premier platform for Malawian designers and models,
“Its importance cannot be overemphasized.
Inclusion of industry experts in various aspects of the event is proof that the team wants collaboration to be key,” he added.
Mzinda Lifestyle was formed in 2023 to bring together people of different races, lifestyles and talents to celebrate art.
