Hunger is usually perceived as a negative feeling to have. However, just like a human being is perceived as sick when he does not feel hungry or have an appetite for food, a Christian or a person who does not feel hungry for something in life is considered sick. It is a blessing to be hungry.

Matthew 5:6 Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be filled
Jesus declared that those who hunger and thirst for righteousness are blessed! To be hungry means to recognize that something is missing inside of you and you then pursue it. It is natural for a healthy Christian to always see a need for growth and more knowledge of God.
To experience growth in any area of your life, be it spiritual, financial or health wise, the first step is to be hungry for it. Recognise the need!
The moment you feel complacent that you are full and have arrived, that is when spiritual sickness comes in. Refuse to be satisfied. Choose to be hungry always!
